The Luzerne County Election Board will begin post-election adjudication earlier than in previous years.
According to Election Director Emily Cook, the process will start on Thursday, November 6, at 9 a.m. in Courtroom A of the Penn Place Building.
Adjudication determines the validity of flagged mail and provisional ballots and tallies write-in votes.
Cook stated that she has changed procedures to prioritize adjudication preparation, allowing for an earlier start.
The adjudication process is open to the public and additional sessions will be scheduled as necessary.
