Riders of all ages and abilities more than doubled a collective target in a New Forest challenge for a charity promoting accessible cycling.
Pass the PEDALL drew more than 400 people to Brockenhurst’s New Park Showground on Saturday, 27th September, raising funds for PEDALL – New Forest Inclusive Cycling.
Supporters, sponsors, and cyclists helped collect £7,500, and donations are still open amid hopes of reaching the £10,000 fundraising target.
The dawn till dusk challenge saw the participants cycle a collective distance of more than 3,200km in 12 hours on PEDALL’s fleet of specialist cycles.
Equivalent to riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back, plus some, this exceeded the 1,407km target.
There was a festival atmosphere complete with food and drink vendors, community groups, and local cycle providers.
