Enhanced Canadian Border Security
A series of new measures to boost Canadian border security were announced by the federal government, including the hiring of 1,000 new border guards.
Prime Minister Mark Carney announced these measures, which will be part of the upcoming federal budget, aiming to "crack down on the movement of stolen goods, illegal guns and drugs, enforce import measures, and investigate unfair trade practices."
