A driving instructor's car was left needing extensive repairs after being filled with contaminated fuel at the Esso garage on Leyland Road in Penwortham, managed by Asda.
Darren Moss, a driving instructor with Steer Smart, filled up his car on Thursday, October 9, and by the next morning, the car had lost power after a short journey.
"I purchased some unleaded fuel from Middleforth petrol station on Thursday night. I'm a driving instructor and used my car briefly Friday morning, for no more than a mile, but it had lost power so I booked it in at Hardings for Tuesday morning."
Asda has promised to compensate all affected drivers. The car was towed to Hardings Garage for inspection after it wouldn't start on Monday.
