Earl Bamber to Debut in Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup at Martinsville

Earl Bamber, a two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, will make his series debut on October 23 at Martinsville Speedway.

As a former factory driver for Porsche and Corvette, Bamber is set to drive the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Mazda MX-5 Cup entry, fielded by Hendricks Motorsports, in the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300.

Bamber has achieved numerous victories, including wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2015 and 2017 with the Porsche LMP1 program, as well as driver championships in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship.

Most recently, he won at Petit Le Mans on October 11, driving the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac GTP for Action Express Racing.
