Luka Doncic, a 26-year-old Slovenian combo guard, has been appointed as the official community ambassador for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Los Angeles.

"I think LA is a very nice city, We've got a lot of culture. Soccer is getting more and more popular in the U.S., especially in LA. So I think the culture right here, because of that, is the perfect city to host it."
