Simi Valley Teens Face Felony Assault and Hate Crime Charges
Three teens from Simi Valley are facing felony assault and hate crime charges and will remain in custody.
According to the Ventura County District Attorney's Office, the teens were charged in connection with a hate crime that occurred on August 1 in a movie theater parking lot.
The Ventura County District Attorney's Office announced that the teens pled not guilty to all charged counts.
- The teens were remanded into the Juvenile Detention Facility following detention hearings.
- Prosecutors argued for the detentions based on the recommendation from the Ventura County Probation Department.
- A pre-trial conference is scheduled for October.
