Director Scott Cooper on Working with Bruce Springsteen
Director Scott Cooper shares his experience of working with Bruce Springsteen and Jeremy Allen White on the new biopic, Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Cooper recalls that Springsteen visited the set just four days into shooting, which added a level of pressure to the project.
“Look, any time you’re making a film about a cultural icon and someone who’s as legendary as Bruce, there’s always trepidation, right?”
However, Cooper notes that Springsteen was never directive, allowing the team to work freely on the film, based on Warren Zanes' 2023 Nebraska-era biography.
As Cooper describes the encounter,
“Bruce came out of the movie with tears in his eyes…”
