DeKalb County Officer Shoots Armed Woman
A DeKalb County police officer shot an armed woman on Tuesday afternoon, according to the police department.
Police responded to a report of someone armed with a gun in the 2000 block of Treehills Parkway in unincorporated Stone Mountain. Officers encountered two armed people, a man and a woman, and an officer shot the woman, who was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The woman's mother claims the woman is her 17-year-old daughter. The man was taken into custody.
