Double Homicide in Holmesburg
Two men were killed in execution-style shootings near Pennypack Park in the Holmesburg section of the city, according to police.
Police responded to reports of gunfire at Enfield and Solly Avenues at 4:12 a.m. on Saturday and found two men with no vital signs. The Philadelphia Fire Department Medic Unit pronounced the men dead at 4:22 a.m.
- The victims were aged 35 and 39.
- Both men had been shot in the head and had their hands zip-tied behind their backs, according to Shaun Butts.
A woman, who was near the men at the time of the shooting, heard two gunshots and was subsequently threatened by a man with a firearm who demanded a bag.
