Virtual Cancer Screening Clinic Expands to Vancouver Island
CanScreen, a virtual cancer-screening clinic, has expanded its services to all of Vancouver Island.
Launched in Victoria in 2023 by two doctors, CanScreen aims to provide cancer screening access to patients without a family doctor.
- Patient can book a test at www.canscreenbc.com
- Results are sent to Dr. Stuart Bax for review
- Follow-up appointments are scheduled with a clinician in Port Alberni, Comox, or Nanaimo if needed
According to Dr. Stuart Bax, the virtual clinic was started to address the challenges of booking screenings without a family doctor.
