Norwegian Wins on Debut at Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon
Norwegian Solveig Lovseth won the Hawaiian Ironman triathlon world championship, becoming the latest Norwegian triathlon star.
Australian Regan Hollioake finished 13th on debut, running a consistent pace on the marathon in only her second year as a professional.
"I'm feeling pretty shattered right now - it was a really tough day out, tough conditions, which was reflected in the number of DNFs,"
said Hollioake, describing the challenging conditions with Hawaii's notorious tropical humidity.
Lovseth achieved the rare feat of winning at Kona on debut.
