Government Seeks to Expand Planning Powers
The Government is proposing amendments to the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, aiming to gain more control over council planning decisions.
Under the proposed changes, ministers would be able to issue 'holding directions' to prevent councils from rejecting planning applications while they consider using call-in powers.
