Bay Area Weather: Flood Advisories in Effect
Rain has returned to the Bay Area, with showers in the North Bay and more rainfall expected later in the day.
According to KTVU Meteorologist Roberta Gonzalez, a strong low pressure system offshore near Oregon and Washington is bringing wet weather to California, aided by a dip in the polar jet stream.
- The North Bay, including Sonoma and Napa counties, were the first areas to see rain.
- Later in the day, the East Bay, Peninsula, and South Bay will see cloudiness and heavier rain.
Motorists in the South Bay are urged to show caution due to the strong early season storm.
