Kamala Harris on Israel's Actions in Gaza
Former Vice President Kamala Harris was asked about Israel's actions in Gaza during an interview on MSNBC's "The Weekend".
Correspondent Eugene Daniels inquired if she agreed with some members of her party who have labeled the situation a "genocide".
"A lot of folks in your party have called what's happening in Gaza a genocide. Do you agree with that?"
Harris responded by stating that the term "genocide" is a legal term that would be decided by a court.
"Listen, it is a term of law that a court will decide... we should all step back and ask this question and be honest about it, yeah."
She highlighted the significant number of children and innocent civilians killed and the refusal to provide aid and support, implying that these factors warrant scrutiny and honest discussion.
Several lawmakers, including Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative from Georgia, have also weighed in on the issue.
