Former Delaware City Attorney Resigns Due to Bullying and Discrimination
Natalia Harris, the first African-American city attorney and prosecutor in Delaware, resigned from her position citing "workplace bullying and discriminatory conduct."
Harris was appointed as the city prosecutor in 2020 and made history as the first African-American to hold the position.
She submitted her resignation letter in September, but did not provide details about the bullying and discriminatory conduct claims.
In response, City Spokesman Lee Yoakum stated that Delaware takes allegations of misconduct seriously, but noted that the city did not receive any complaints or documentation to support Harris' claims before her resignation.
