North Carolina Lawmaker Faces Child Sex Charges
Cecil Brockman, a Democratic lawmaker representing Guilford County, has been charged with felonies related to alleged sexual conduct with a minor.
- Two counts of statutory rape of a child between the ages of 13 and 15
- Two counts of indecent liberties with a child
Brockman, 41, is being held without bond at the High Point Detention Center and is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
Calls are growing for his immediate resignation.
