Rookie Beckett Sennecke notched his first two-goal performance, while Leo Carlsson added two power-play scores to lead Anaheim past Winnipeg, 4-1, at Honda Center on Sunday.
The government shutdown may have concluded, but the Jets remained grounded as the Ducks continued their remarkable streak, securing a seventh consecutive victory. This marks their longest winning run since the 2021–22 season, when they achieved eight straight wins. Anaheim has now claimed nine of its last ten games.
“I heard about the losing days of the past couple years from the older guys, and they’re pretty pumped right now,” Sennecke said.
Throughout their dominant stretch, the Ducks have defeated the reigning two-time Stanley Cup champions twice, along with a Western Conference finalist and another 2025 playoff team. Their latest triumphs include victories over the 2025 Pacific Division champions in Vegas and last year’s Presidents’ Trophy winners on consecutive nights.
“It’ll be a good challenge for us. We knew that our schedule had a bunch of tough teams in a row here, and I think we’re proving why we’re an established team,” Sennecke said.
Leo Carlsson now shares second place in league scoring with Chicago’s Connor Bedard, trailing only Colorado Avalanche star Nathan MacKinnon. The Ducks will next face Colorado in a clash between the NHL’s top two teams by points percentage.
The Anaheim Ducks extended their dominance with a seventh straight win, led by rookies Sennecke and Carlsson, signaling the team’s rise among the NHL elite.
