EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: BBC 'Secretly Lines Up Holly for Strictly Job'

Peter Fincham, former BBC One Controller, claims Holly Willoughby is being considered to host Strictly Come Dancing after Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced their departure at the end of this series.

Once the golden girl of ITV, Holly, 44, who previously starred on This Morning and Dancing On Ice, is now reportedly poised for a major BBC Saturday night role.

“My hairdresser also cuts the hair of a well-known channel controller,” Fincham reveals. “What’s said in Harry’s the hairdresser stays in Harry’s. But he says with great confidence that Holly Willoughby will take over.”

This would mark a significant comeback for Holly after she left This Morning in 2023 following 14 years on the show amid intense public scrutiny.

Earlier that year, her long-time co-presenter Phillip Schofield resigned after admitting to an extramarital affair with a young male colleague, which he had initially lied about to ITV management and others.

Since leaving This Morning, Holly has hosted Celebrity Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls on Netflix, though the show was not renewed for a second season.

Summary

Holly Willoughby is reportedly in line to host Strictly Come Dancing, signaling a prominent return to British television after her departure from This Morning in 2023.
