Clemson University men's basketball dominated New Hampshire 88-38 in their 2025-26 season opener Monday at Littlejohn Coliseum. The 38 points allowed were the fewest in a Clemson season opener since a 58-30 win over Erskine on December 11, 1946.
Redshirt freshman Ace Buckner (Dallas, Texas/La Lumiere School) led the Tigers with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot. He outscored his father, Greg Buckner, who had 10 points, nine assists, and five rebounds in his Clemson debut on November 29, 1994.
Buckner was highly efficient, shooting 6-for-7 from the field and going 6-for-7 on free throws.
Clemson ended the first half with a 15-2 run over the final 6:16, leading 43-16 at halftime. In total, 12 players appeared for Clemson, with 11 scoring.
