Sam Mendes has assembled a notable cast to portray the wives of The Beatles in his upcoming multi-film biopic. Emmy-winning Shōgun star Anna Sawai and Sex Education’s Aimee Lou Wood join Saoirse Ronan and Mia McKenna-Bruce for this ambitious project.
The biopic, titled The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will feature four films, each dedicated to a member of the band. It is scheduled for release in April 2028.
The scripts are being written by Jez Butterworth (Jerusalem), Peter Straughan (Conclave), and Jack Thorne (His Dark Materials).
