Saoirse Ronan Confirmed for Beatles Biopics Cast
Saoirse Ronan will portray Linda McCartney opposite Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney in director Sam Mendes's ambitious project The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event.
Deadline, the US entertainment trade publication that first revealed Ronan's casting, also reported that Sony has signed Mia McKenna-Bruce, Anna Sawai, and Aimee Lou Wood. They will respectively play Ringo Starr's first wife Maureen (née Cox) Starkey, John Lennon's second wife Yoko Ono, and George Harrison's first wife Pattie Boyd.
"Maureen, Linda, Yoko, and Pattie are four fascinating and unique figures in their own right," said director Mendes. "And I'm thrilled that we've managed to persuade four of the most talented women working in film today to join this amazing adventure."

Each of the four films will focus on a different member of The Beatles. Mescal and Ronan previously appeared together in the 2023 sci-fi thriller Foe.
Project Release
The four films are scheduled for release in April 2028.
