Calgary's poppy campaign underway supporting veterans before Remembrance Day

Calgary's Poppy Campaign Supports Veterans Ahead of Remembrance Day

Poppies and related merchandise to support veterans are available in stores, legions, and online, including on the Royal Canadian Legion Amazon store. The Royal Canadian Legion has launched this Amazon store for the second year, offering items such as lapel pins, magnets, and poppy flowers in honour of Remembrance Day on November 11.

“The Poppy Campaign is the legion’s most significant fundraising effort, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to support Canada’s veterans and their families,” said a news release from the legion on Friday.

The campaign began on Friday and will continue until Remembrance Day. Albertans can obtain pins through the Legion’s online poppy store or by making a donation at traditional poppy boxes located in various outlets across the province, including TD banks.
