About the People's Postcode Lottery
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery that raises funds for charities while awarding cash prizes to UK households. From Monday to Sunday, 20 different postcodes win £1,000 each day. On Saturdays, players compete for shares of £1 million in the “Millionaire Street” draw.
“Every month players in a postcode sector share £3.2 million or more. In this example, £1.6 million of this is shared equally by tickets playing with the winning postcode, with the other £1.6 million shared equally by tickets playing with the winning postcode sector. On rare occasions when there aren’t enough winning tickets in the postcode sector, the winning area may be expanded to the postcode district.”
At least 33% of every ticket purchased is donated to charity. Since 2005, players have raised over £1.3 billion for more than 9,000 charities and good causes.
