The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking has introduced significant updates to its bus operations from November 1. These changes include new routes, route adjustments, cancellations of some segments, and conversion of several routes to air-conditioned services, designed to enhance passenger comfort and improve overall efficiency.

Introduction of New Route A-101

Route A-101 is a newly launched service connecting the World Trade Center and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, passing through prominent locations such as G D Somani Road, President Hotel, Colaba, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, and Madame Cama Road. It runs six days a week, from Monday to Saturday. The return trip covers areas including Hutatma Chowk, Veer Nariman Road, and Churchgate, enhancing connectivity in South Mumbai.

Restructuring of Existing Routes

Route A-1: Now operates between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Santacruz Depot, ending at CSMT instead of Electric House and Colaba Depot.
Route A-6: Runs between Backbay Depot and Tata Power Station with updated schedules and routes.
Other routes such as A-44, A-47, A-48, and A-49 have been shortened or had terminals changed to improve service efficiency.

BEST is also upgrading some routes to air-conditioned service to improve passenger comfort.
