LeBron James is no longer the only active NBA player with over one billion dollars in career earnings. According to Sportico's Kurt Badenhausen, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have also reached billionaire status combining their on-court income and endorsement deals.
James, Curry, and Durant are now the only three NBA players earning at least one hundred million dollars during the 2025–26 season through their salaries and endorsements. Giannis Antetokounmpo follows closely with approximately $99.1 million in total earnings this season.
James and Durant are the only two players in NBA history whose on-court career earnings exceed $500 million. Durant crossed that mark this season with his $53.3 million salary from the Houston Rockets. Curry holds third place with $470.1 million in total earnings from the Golden State Warriors and is projected to pass $500 million in 2026–27 with a $62.6 million salary.
“Curry continues to have the league’s highest salary for the ninth consecutive season.” — Kurt Badenhausen, Sportico
This consistency is attributed to Curry’s long-term commitment to the Warriors, enabling him to benefit from past supermax extensions signed in 2017 and 2021.
Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant join LeBron James as the only active NBA billionaires, marking a milestone in the sport’s financial history.
