Scores of Pupils Injured in Mariannhill Toll Plaza Crash
At least 18 school children were injured after a taxi overturned near the Mariannhill Toll Plaza on the N3.
Over a dozen children were rushed to hospital after they were injured in the taxi crash on the N3, which took place near the Mariannhill Toll Plaza on Monday morning.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived on the scene to find total carnage after a single taxi transporting school children had lost control and overturned coming to rest on its roof.
According to ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, paramedics quickly set up a triage system and called for more ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics to assist with the multiple casualties on the scene.
