Louvre Jewel Heist: Two More Suspects Charged
A man and a woman, both in their late 30s, were charged with organized crime and being an accomplice, respectively.
In total, four people have been charged in connection to the brazen theft of $100 million worth of royal jewels from the Paris museum two weeks ago.
The prosecutor, Laure Beccuau, said in a statement that one of the suspects, a 37-year-old man, has been charged with organized theft and criminal conspiracy, and was already known to judicial authorities.
The other suspect, a 38-year-old woman, has been charged with complicity in preparing the crime.
Two other men, also alleged to be part of the foursome, were arrested a week ago.
The prosecutor said two of the five people who were arrested on Wednesday have been charged.
