A New Partnership to Support People with Brain Injuries

Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries. In partnership with Thompsons Solicitors, MAPS Benevolent Trust, and the Players of the Postcode Lottery, they aim to support people with brain injuries who are often discharged home without wider support.

After spending months in hospital, rehabilitation, and ICU with a team of clinicians, individuals with brain injuries can suddenly find themselves alone.

You've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.
They may not fully understand their condition, and some may be navigating a legal battle for compensation without guidance.

Headway Devon currently works with around 100 people weekly, but there are many more who go home alone, unaware of the charity's services. Thanks to the new partnership, they can now provide support in hospitals, reaching more individuals in need.
