Government to Enforce Integrated Security Strategy for Polls

The government is set to introduce an integrated security strategy for the upcoming elections on March 5.

Nepal Police, APF, Nepali Army, and the investigation department will be jointly mobilized in polls as per the strategy.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal will discuss with top officials to finalize the blueprint of the strategy, following a discussion between President Ramchandra Paudel, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, ministers, and heads of security agencies.

The home ministry comes up with an integrated security plan or strategy to conduct free, fair, and secure elections during every election.
