Government Launches First Digital ID

The UK government has introduced the first digital ID as part of its plan to digitalize almost every form of ID in the country.

According to the new plans, digital ID cards, known as "Britcards," will be rolled out, subject to a full consultation, to tackle illegal immigration and verify citizens' right to live and work in the UK.

The digital veteran ID cards were presented at an event at the Tower of London, where Beefeaters showcased their new digital IDs.
