Solomon Named Big South Preseason Player of the Year
UNC Asheville's Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.
Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, leading the team in field goal percentage (.610), rebounds (7.2 per game), and blocked shots (51). He also finished second on the team in scoring with 15.7 points per game.

- Finished fifth in rebounding in the Big South
- Finished first in blocked shots in the Big South
Delivered career-best outings throughout the year, including 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.
The Bulldogs were picked second in the preseason poll.
