Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center Rebuilds Sukkah
After a devastating wildfire destroyed the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center in January, the synagogue received help from friends to build a new sukkah.
The Eaton wildfires in Southern California left only the Torahs remaining, prompting the need for a new sukkah for the harvest holiday of Sukkot.
- Members of Temple Isaiah traveled over 350 miles to assist with the construction.
- The Men’s Club of Temple Isaiah donated a sukkah to the 100-year-old Conservative synagogue.
“While this past year was a tragic one for the congregants and clergy of the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center, it has been inspiring to witness the incredible resilience and the determination of this sacred community,” said Anshei Isaiah President Andy Shapiro.
The synagogue is currently operating out of temporary accommodations.
