Airbus 2025 delivery target in doubt despite October wins

Airbus 2025 Delivery Target Faces Uncertainty Despite October Gains

Airbus delivered 78 aircraft in October 2025, bringing its total deliveries for the year to 585. However, with 235 aircraft still required to meet its target of 820 jets, reaching that goal may be tough amid ongoing supply chain challenges.

Steady Production Increase

According to Airbus’ latest report, the European manufacturer continues to raise its monthly production. In October, 78 airplanes were delivered to 36 customers, compared to 73 to 41 customers in September. The total deliveries so far include both narrowbody and widebody models.

Order Trends in 2025

Airbus reported 112 gross orders in October 2025. This marks a rebound from September, when only 10 gross orders were recorded, following 99 in August. Altogether, the total gross orders in 2025 have reached 722 aircraft.

“Airbus has delivered a total of 585 aircraft to 85 customers so far in 2025.”

These orders encompass 521 single-aisle jets, 111 A350s, and 90 A330 widebody aircraft, signaling a healthy mix of demand across the company’s portfolio.

Ongoing Supply Chain Pressure

Despite progress, Airbus continues to face production constraints, notably in engine availability, which could hinder its ability to meet the full-year delivery target.

Author’s summary: Airbus shows steady output growth in 2025, but engine shortages and logistical pressures could prevent it from achieving the ambitious goal of 820 jet deliveries.
