Victorian team secures place in Scania’s ‘Top Team’ Asian Regional finals

Victorian Team Advances to Scania’s Asian Regional Finals

A team from Scania’s company-owned Dandenong Branch has won the Australian National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. They will travel to Bangkok in early 2026 to compete in the Asian Regional finals, aiming for one of two available spots in the World Finals in Sweden.

Competition Overview

Seven teams from Scania’s Australian company-owned branches participated in the National Finals, following a knockout round that involved an additional eight teams nationwide.

“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,” said Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia, who supervised the event at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.

Team Dandenong’s Performance

Team Dandenong secured overall victory for the second year running under the leadership of captain Chris Chilver. He described this year's National Finals as the most challenging in his four competitions.

“We had good team spirit; we weren’t discouraged by a low score at one station when moving to the next. It was clear the event would be tough, so we focused and assigned tasks based on each member’s strengths. I think we worked quite well together,” explained Chris.

Summary

Team Dandenong’s strong teamwork and strategic focus have earned them another national title, setting the stage for their pursuit of global success in the upcoming international Scania competitions.
