Weeks after a children's birthday party in upscale Vaucluse erupted into a loud confrontation, tensions have escalated into a full-scale war of words involving legal action.
The dispute is between Danielle Plaskitt, who operates a 'pony party' business from Sydney's semi-rural northwest, and D'Leanne Lewis, a real estate agent from the eastern suburbs. The conflict ignited after Lewis posted video footage on Instagram of their unusual clash at her daughter Lyra's third birthday party.
"Get away from my ponies, now!"
The video, which Lewis shared with her 70,000 followers, portrayed Plaskitt as sharp and abrasive while she shouted the above line as Lewis carried Lyra away from the ponies. Plaskitt, however, explained that she lost her temper because some guests were disruptive, her company's terms and conditions were ignored, and her team lacked proper parking.
Following our exclusive report, both parties are now considering legal measures. Lewis has already sent a cease-and-desist letter to Plaskitt.
The incident occurred after Lewis booked My Pony Party, Plaskitt's animal entertainment service, through a party planner for an event at Kimberley Reserve in Sydney’s east on September 28.
The fallout from a disrupted children's pony party in Vaucluse has escalated into legal threats after tensions between the party operator and the hostess erupted publicly online.
