Bob Bueckers, the team’s assistant coach, was unable to attend due to illness and called on his daughter Paige to fill in. Paige was in town to watch UConn’s game in Annapolis. Her younger brother, Drew, is a player on the team, making the occasion special for the family.
The Bueckers family has lived in Clarksburg for about five years and remains deeply involved in the local basketball community.
Paige quickly established herself as one of the league’s brightest young stars, and for the Clarksburg players, having such a renowned athlete lead their drills was truly a dream come true.
