Emmy Award winner Samira Wiley makes her Broadway debut alongside Hamilton alum Jin Ha in the first revival of David Auburn's Pulitzer and Tony-winning drama Proof.
Wiley and Ha complete the cast of Proof on Broadway, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The play will run for 16 weeks at the Booth Theatre, starting March 31, with opening night on April 16.
Wiley is widely recognized for her TV roles in The Handmaid's Tale (Emmy Award) and Orange is the New Black (SAG Award). She has also performed on the London stage in Intimate Apparel and Blues for an Alabama Sky as well as Off-Broadway in Daphne’s Dive. Jin Ha has appeared in New York City productions such as Hamilton and Here We Are, and on television in Pachinko.
Written by David Auburn and directed by Thomas Kail, Proof follows the story of the daughter of a brilliant math professor who discovers a groundbreaking proof after his death. The play explores the ensuing turmoil as others question the authorship of the proof.
