The Remembrance Day statutory holiday is approaching, bringing a variety of weather conditions to Vancouver. This year, the holiday falls on a Tuesday, so only those who take Monday off will enjoy a long weekend.
Friday will start the holiday period with typical Vancouver weather: a mix of sun and rain throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a high of 11°C and drop to 6°C overnight.
Saturday looks quite pleasant with mostly sunny skies and a high of 11°C. Overnight, temperatures will be cooler, around 4°C. On Sunday, the weather will alternate again, with sunshine during the day and rain expected at night.
After the weekend, expect persistent rain between Monday and Thursday, including Remembrance Day itself. Daytime temperatures will stay between 10°C and 11°C, with nighttime lows near 6°C. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has not provided estimates for the total rainfall during these days.
