Gospel Reflection - Sunday, November 9, 2025

Jesus cleanses the temple, courageously confronting corruption with prophetic zeal—an act that initiates His journey toward crucifixion.

Vision of the Flowing Water

He then brought me to the temple entrance; water flowed from beneath the threshold, moving eastward (as the temple faces east). The water came from below the south end of the threshold, south of the altar.

Next, He led me out through the north gate, around outside to the outer gate facing east, where the water emerged on the south side.

He said, “This water flows toward the eastern region and descends into the Arabah; when it enters the sea— the sea of stagnant waters— the water becomes fresh. Wherever the river flows, every living creature that swarms will survive, and fish will be abundant. The water will bring life wherever it goes.
On the riverbanks, on both sides, all kinds of trees will grow for food. Their leaves will never wither or their fruit fail; they will bear fresh fruit every month because their water comes from the sanctuary. Their fruit will feed, and their leaves will heal.”

Trust Amidst Upheaval

Therefore, we will not fear even if the earth changes, mountains shake within the sea, waters roar and foam, and mountains tremble amidst the turmoil.
