Veteran actress Sally Kirkland, celebrated for her Oscar-nominated role in the 1987 film "Anna," has been hospitalized and is currently receiving hospice care, according to TMZ.
The 84-year-old actress was diagnosed with dementia about a year ago and is now battling life-threatening infections. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support her medical care.
According to the campaign, Kirkland "had a fall in the shower, when she was left unattended; injuring her ribs, foot, along with cuts and bruises."
