Mike Smith, 53, known for his role as “Bubbles” in the Canadian cult-classic mockumentary Trailer Park Boys, has been charged with sexual assault. The alleged incident occurred in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, in December 2017.
Smith faced charges in Nova Scotia Provincial Court in October. According to court orders, he must not communicate with or visit the alleged victim’s home, workplace, or school.
“We are aware of the allegation concerning Mike Smith dating back to 2017 and take such matters seriously,” Trailer Park Boys Inc. said. “We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”
Additional information about the assault has not been disclosed in the court documents.
This development marks a significant and serious turn in the life of Mike Smith, affecting both his legal standing and professional role within the Trailer Park Boys franchise.
