Arc Raiders has broken its own peak user count on Steam, reaching over 400,000 players for the first time this weekend.
Last week, the game surpassed 250,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after release. On November 1st, it hit a peak of 328,062 players, becoming the most popular PvP extraction shooter on Steam.
Over the weekend, Arc Raiders set a new record with a peak of 416,517 concurrent users, ranking as the fifth most played game on Steam in the past 24 hours.
According to Alinea Analytics, about 69.2% of players are on Steam. This suggests that roughly 30% are on consoles: 17.3% on PlayStation and 13.5% on Xbox.
Market analyst Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics states that
“Arc Raiders is great because it focuses on community – NOT because it's an extraction shooter.”
Arc Raiders is a third-person extraction shooter that has rapidly gained popularity, driven by community engagement and rising player counts.
Author's note: The game's success stems from its focus on community rather than the traditional extraction shooter formula, fueling player interest across platforms.
