Developer Embark Studios is addressing the server problems faced by Arc Raiders players over the weekend. All players who logged into the extraction shooter on November 2 will receive 500 Raider Tokens as compensation.
The official Arc Raiders account on X acknowledged that the servers had a "wobble" on Sunday. SteamDB reported a new peak of 354,836 concurrent players on Steam that day. This peak follows the game's record-breaking Steam performance for extraction shooters with PvP.
Since Arc Raiders is also available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and the Epic Games Store, the total player count is even higher than Steam numbers alone indicate.
We appreciate your patience as our servers had a wobble on Sunday, Scrappy must've pecked a few wires loose, he's been put on the naughty step 🐓. As a token of our thanks, we're sending 500 Raider Tokens to all Raiders who logged in on Sunday.
The game also experienced server issues during its launch on October 30. Such problems are common in multiplayer games at launch and highlight the strong player interest. Embark's decision to release Arc Raiders between big titles like Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 reflects this high demand.
Looking ahead, Embark Studios announced Arc Raiders will avoid adding "novelty" skins, focusing instead on enhancing the game's core visual style.
Summary: Embark Studios compensates players for weekend server issues by awarding in-game currency, reflecting the game's high demand and commitment to quality over cosmetic additions.
