Starting out as a Topside explorer in ARC Raiders can be challenging with plenty to learn, numerous crafting items to find, and new threats to face. This guide offers essential tips to help new players navigate the early stages, decide what to loot, and understand what to recycle.
Early Game Looting
In your first hours, it's best to collect everything you find. As you level up, complete quests, and unlock new areas in Speranza, you'll have more clarity on what gear and items are valuable. Initially, deciding between keeping a Spring or Battery is not a priority.
Item Rarity and Value
Items in ARC Raiders come with different rarity levels. The rarer an item, the higher its value. Late-game equipment requires rare crafting resources, so although it’s smart to hold onto these items, you won’t be able to use them immediately.
Recycling Caution
Not all items marked as recyclable should be recycled without thought. Some are crucial for upgrading benches at the Workstation.
“This says ‘Can be recycled into crafting materials’ and it doesn’t say it’s used in making anything – so you might assume it’s safe to recycle. You need three of them to upgrade the Crafting bench.”
