According to industry analyst Rhy Elliott from Alinea Analytics, Arc Raiders has already sold around 2.5 million copies, generating more than $100 million in revenue for developer Embark Studios.
The data indicates that approximately 69.2% of these sales were made via Steam. Among the remaining players, 17.3% are on PlayStation and 13.5% on Xbox, as per Alinea Analytics’ research.
“ARC Raiders is great because it focuses on community — NOT because it's an extraction shooter.”
In their blog, Elliott suggested that the game’s emphasis on cooperative gameplay and community spirit may be the key factor behind its popularity compared to other games in the extraction shooter genre.
Data also shows significant overlap between Arc Raiders and other co-op titles.
“Our crossover estimates show that about half of ARC Raiders players on Steam have also played Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, and Helldivers 2, respectively. And over 40% have played R.E.P.O, Valheim, PEAK, and Dead by Daylight.”
This crossover suggests Arc Raiders appeals strongly to players who enjoy teamwork-oriented experiences.
Arc Raiders has achieved major commercial success, with its thriving community and cooperative focus driving strong player engagement across multiple platforms.
