The Baltimore City Board of Estimates has approved 10 executive coaching sessions for Chief Administrative Officer Faith Leach at a rate of $1,800 per hour. This coaching contract is part of a broader $125,000 agreement that also includes workshops and a retreat for the city’s senior staff.
“Someone should’ve stood up and said ‘no’,” said taxpayer advocate David Williams. “It’s incredible the Board of Estimates just rubber-stamped this expenditure.”
Although Leach abstained from voting on the contract at the Board’s meeting, Williams warns this sets a concerning precedent for city spending.
“What this does is establish another bad precedent on spending money,” Williams added.
