Cameron Norrie delivers immediate reaction to reaching his first ATP final of the year

Cameron Norrie Reaches His First ATP Final of 2025

Cameron Norrie's impressive performance in Metz continued with a victory over Lorenzo Sonego, advancing him to his first ATP final this year. His late-season momentum, highlighted by a notable win over Carlos Alcaraz, has propelled him toward this milestone.

To reach the final, Norrie defeated Valentin Royer, Arthur Cazaux, and Kyrian Jacquet. In his match against World No. 2 Sonego, Norrie once again showed resilience by bouncing back after losing the first set.

The two players battled for two hours, with Norrie's persistence ultimately paying off.

On-Court Reaction from Cameron Norrie

“Always a battle when I play Lorenzo. I have a lot of respect for him. He’s so passionate about tennis, and he showed that.

He came to fight, and we both fought hard today. I was really happy with my level. In the third set, even though he was fighting, I was really playing free, and I had a lot of support from the crowd, especially up there, which really helped and got me through the match in the end.

I was able to stay calm, and honestly I enjoyed this match probably the most this week, so it was nice. It was nice to get better and better as the match went on.

I was a bit nervous at the start, which affected my serve, but he was tough. He served well, he’s a difficult player, and I had to find a solution and I was able to.”

Summary

Cameron Norrie's tenacity and growing confidence this season have culminated in him reaching his first ATP final of 2025, demonstrating his ability to overcome challenges and perform under pressure.
