Seventh seed Cameron Norrie came from one set down to defeat Lorenzo Sonego 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 in a two-hour battle, advancing to the final of the Moselle Open in Metz.
“It’s always a battle when I play against Lorenzo, I have a lot of respect for him. He is so passionate about tennis and he showed that he came to fight and we both fought today. I was really happy with my level in the third set. I was playing free and had a lot of support from the crowd,” said Norrie.
This marks the third consecutive match at Metz where Norrie has come back from a set down. He aims to win the sixth title of his career in his 16th final appearance and his first since Rio de Janeiro 2023.
Norrie will face Learner Tien in the final. Tien defeated Vitaliy Sachko with a 6-1, 6-4 scoreline, breaking twice in both the second and fourth games to take the opening set decisively.
