Residents of Derby are invited to participate in this year's Remembrance Sunday commemorations on Sunday, 9 November 2025. The event honors the sacrifice of armed forces and emergency services members.
The annual parade and service return this November, uniting youth groups, veteran organizations, and community members to pay respects.
Starting at 10:45 AM, local veteran and youth groups will march through the city center to the Market Place, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band.
At 10:55 AM, a short service led by
The Lord Bishop of Derbyand assisted by
The Very Rev'd Dr Peter Robinson, Dean of Derbywill be held. During this, a two-minute silence will be observed.
Afterwards, wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial by civic dignitaries and representatives of local organizations. The complete order of service is available for download.
The service will be streamed live on a large screen in the Market Place.
Unlike recent years, troops from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers 148 Divisional Support Company will not participate in the parade. However, several local youth and veteran groups have been invited to join as in previous years.
Derby’s residents are encouraged to join this solemn occasion to honor those who served and sacrificed.
